PlateSend is committed to transparent, fair pricing for both cooks and customers.
Fee Structure: PlateSend's fee structure is currently being finalized ahead of our launch. All fees charged to home cooks and consumers will be clearly posted here before any transactions occur on the platform.
We are committed to keeping fees low so that home cooks keep the majority of what they earn.
This section will be updated with specific fee amounts, when they are collected, and how they are applied before PlateSend begins processing orders.
Liability Insurance
Disclosure: PlateSend does not currently carry liability insurance covering incidents arising from the sale or consumption of food listed on this platform.
Each MEHKO (home cook) on PlateSend operates as an independent, permitted food operation. Consumers should be aware that food safety and liability are the responsibility of the individual permitted cook.
We encourage all home cooks on our platform to consider obtaining their own liability insurance. This section will be updated if PlateSend's insurance status changes.

File a Complaint with Your Local Health Department
In addition to contacting PlateSend, you may also file a food safety complaint directly with your local county environmental health department. They are the enforcement agency responsible for MEHKO permits and food safety inspections.
